CHARGE TO LIGHT GAS WEAPON (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C06B25/00 C06B31/00 C06B27/00

Abstract RU 2564282 C2

FIELD: weapon and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to artillery and to firearms. The charge to light gas weapon contains nitrocellulose gunpowder and boron nitrate amounting 0.0001-90 wt %. The charge may contain the dosed additives of brisant explosives. At combustion the charge emits from gases mainly hydrogen or pure hydrogen. The versions of charge to light gas weapon containing nitrogen-containing combustible substances, either nitrogen-containing oxidisers, or combustible compounds of boron and boron nitrate B(NO3)3 are also considered.

EFFECT: increase of initial speed of shells and bullets by means of increase of thermal emission of reaction due to use of two energy reactions - oxidation of carbon, boron or metals and formation of boron nitride, and also regulation of charge burning speed.
