FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: velopharyngeal insufficiency is eliminated by filling a deficiency of soft tissues volume of a velopharyngeal ring. A submucous bed of a soft palate is formed. Osmed encapsulated tissue expander is implanted. A mucosa incision is closed with interrupted sutures.
EFFECT: method is minimally invasive and enables eliminating velopharyngeal insufficiency by increasing a contact of the velopharyngeal ring, reducing nasal emission and reflux into the nasal cavity.
