FIELD: atomic physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, particularly locks installed in reactor containment shells, which provide airtight sealing of transport openings of the localising safety system of an operating nuclear power plant. The lock comprises a housing, flanges with transport openings at the ends of the housing and sealing canvases covering the transport openings. The flanges with transport openings are detachable and allow airtight connection thereof with the housing via threaded fastener when transporting through the lock cargo and equipment with dimensions which do not exceed the dimensions of the transport openings covered by the sealing canvases, and also allow disconnection of the detachable flanges from the housing by removing the threaded fastener when transporting through the lock cargo and equipment with dimensions which exceed the dimensions of the transport openings covered by the sealing canvases.
EFFECT: easier transportation of large-size cargo and equipment, eg steam generators, through the transport lock.
