FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of sealing shells of nuclear reactor. Transport opening is sealed by coupling nuts in sealing mechanisms on sealing webs and threaded parts of pins on flanges of transport openings. Sealing mechanisms have electric drives, connected to electric drives of shaft with cavities at ends and nuts located in cavities of floors. Cavities in shafts and nut are fours-sided with a square cross-section, and nuts in cavities of shafts are fixed with compensation gaps relative to walls of cavities of shafts.
EFFECT: possible compensation of misalignment of mutual location of nuts and pins and non-perpendicularity of pins relative to plane of sealing web without a technically complex and cumbersome accurate adjustment of position of sealing webs relative to flanges transport openings for usually required precise alignment of nuts and pins.
