FIELD: physics, nuclear.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to techniques for handling radioactive wastes and is meant for extracting solid radioactive wastes (SRW) from storage facilities, their sorting and transportation for further processing. The mobile module has a caisson which is mounted on wheels which are spring-loaded relative housings on a rail track with possibility of moving on the rail track along the storage facility, on supports mounted on the floor slab of the storage facility, where the supports ensure uniform distribution of loads. Inside the caisson there is equipment for handling radioactive wastes, which includes a load trolley which can move in an out of the caisson into a transportation chamber and designed for mounting radioactive containers on it, and a sorting table placed over the containers, which has doors with spout guides. The top surface of the table is inclined with formation of an angle α to the side of the open door of the storage facility to enable water drainage. The compartment of the caisson and the open storage facility, which serve for handling radioactive wastes, are insulated and protected from service personnel and the surrounding medium by an airtight shell.
EFFECT: extraction of solid radioactive wastes from storage facilities and their sorting with uniform distribution of the load on the floor slab of the storage facility.
