SUBSTANCE: vending machine, having an item selection panel, a coin and banknote detection mechanism, a control unit, a display, three or more units for retrieving and issuing an item placed on said units, is equipped with a receiving unit, a key code reading unit and a blank key coding unit, wherein the input of the receiving unit is connected to the output of the coding unit, and the output is connected to the input of the reading unit; the input of the coding unit and the output of the reading unit are respectively connected to the output and the input of the control unit, and on at least two units for retrieving and issuing an item there are blank electronic keys of different types and manufacturers, wherein blank keys of the same type and same manufacturer are placed on the same unit. Furthermore, the control unit is in the form of a computer system block with a connected JPRS modem, which is able to select, analyse and transmit real-time events at the vending machine to a remote server, and the display is in the form of a computer monitor, wherein the item selection panel is in the form of a touch screen placed on the monitor screen. A method of vending duplicate electronic keys for mechatronic access systems, which includes paying, selecting an item, checking the difference between the paid amount and the price of the item, issuing change and issuing the item, is achieved due to that before selecting the item, the method includes reading the code of the original electronic key by applying the original electronic key onto the receiving unit of the reading unit, the code of which is used to identify the key and determine the blank electronic key. The display then offers for selection multiple blank electronic keys of the same type but different manufacturers, differing by price, and payment is made once the blank electronic key is selected, and after issuing, the blank electronic key is then encoded by applying to the receiving unit of the reading unit, followed by verifying the code.
EFFECT: wider field of use of the vending machine, particularly selling duplicate electronic keys for mechatronic access systems in self-service mode and providing a method of vending duplicate electronic keys for mechatronic access systems.
