RETAILING METHOD AND POINT-OF-SALE CENTER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: trade engineering; retailing food products and miscellaneous goods. SUBSTANCE: method includes following procedures: first seller disseminates information about bill of commodities supplied through order form part of whose columns are filled in by seller and part, by client or through publication including list of commodities and their bar-codes. Then seller accepts order from client according to mentioned bill of commodities at order reception center that has at least two order reception sections and operator s station common for all sections, records order using order recording means available at this center, specifies order supply interval, transfers data on order from order reception station to remote order gathering center, accepts money and records payment at point-of-sale center, whereupon hands over ordered goods to client in specified time. Point-of-sale center has cash sections and cashier s seat common for all sections. Each cash section is provided with warning device informing cashier that client is ready to pay and with payment recording device. Sections are disposed around cashier s seat arranged for turning primarily in one direction. EFFECT: facilitated retailing procedure and reduced expenses for seller and client. 3 cl, 9 dwg
