SUBSTANCE: method of determining performance indicators of scarifiers comprises seed sampling before and after scarification, determining of germination, vigour and number of hard seeds before and after scarification, determining of seed crushing after scarification, the calculation of the degree of seed scarification, and the degree of change in the number of germinated seeds is additionally taken into account, which is calculated by the formula: 
where B1 and B2 is the number of germinated seeds in a sample before and after scarification, respectively, pieces.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of assessment of quality of performance of seed scarifiers by taking into account the degree of change in the number of germinated seeds.
