FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, introduction and reintroduction of plants in botanical gardens and can be applied to the treatment of seeds of rare and relic plants of the flora of the Central Russian forest-steppe. Method of pre-planting treatment of seeds of rare and relic plants is that after a long dry storage of seeds, the seeds are packed in paper bags, frozen at temperatures from -51 to -30 °C for at least 35 days. After this, the temperature is gradually raised to a low positive temperature (5–10) °C for 2–3 days.
EFFECT: use of the invention will increase the germination energy and seed germination after prolonged dry storage to produce seedlings of high viability.
