FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of bearing part, for example, a welded ring of ring segment subjected to variable mechanical loads at rolling and sliding. Bearing part (10) is made of bearing steel and comprises at least one weld produced by butt fusion welding. Said part is made of steel containing not over 20 ppm of sulphur, not over 15 ppm of oxygen and sulphide inclusions. Less than 5% of said sulphides included encapsulated or embedded oxide inclusions. Said steel includes also the element selected from the group: Ca, Mg, Te or lanthanide such as Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb or Lu in amount of 10-30 ppm by weight.
EFFECT: higher fatigue strength.
