FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering and can be used in an electric drive. A control method of the engine by means of a vector method involves the following stages: determination of quadrature current value Iq necessary for the above engine to create desired torque; calculation of direct current value Id for supply to the above engine as per an equation as a function of current vector, whereon constant value of the engine torque depends; calculation of industrial frequency current of the above engine from direct current and quadrature current; supply of industrial frequency current to the engine through an inverter.

EFFECT: increase of efficiency at low speeds.
