FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to pelletising by sintering of ceramic compositions ground in dry phase. Proposed process consists in grinding in dry phase and preparing clay ceramic without binders, additives or compositions deflocculating agents from clay materials (approx. 60%) mixed with inorganic materials that features particle size smaller than 120 mcm in horizontal cylindrical device with blades that vary the direction of motion. Introduction of said minerals, powders and water is performed at one end face of said device. Pellets are produced at revolution of said device to be displaced by aforesaid blades. Outlet for pelletised material is located at opposite side of said device. This invention allows the following advantages: about 80% electric power saving, 75-80% decrease in water consumption during pelletising and 10-20% saving in pressure required for compaction of pellets. Time required for transfer from one ceramic composition to another makes about one hour compared with several days required for existing process of spraying. Proposed pelleting process is a new non-polluting technology with zero air and aquifer contamination at lower water consumption.
EFFECT: alternative for grinding in wet phase with drying at spraying.
