FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. A lens fixation device ensuring its transportation, storage and damage protection comprises a case with a storage box and an enclosing structural unit in the storage box. The case with the storage box comprises an upper lid and a lower lid, which can be separated and connected, and accommodate a space element of the upper lid and a space element of the lower lid, respectively. When attaching the space element of the upper lid and the space element of the lower lid together, they are found aligned to form the storage box. The enclosing structural unit in the storage box ensures substantially lens fixation, when the lens is placed into the above storage box. The enclosing structural unit comprises a pin facing from the space element of the lower lid upwards into the storage box such that the lens having a centre hole can be set on the pin through the above hole. The upper lid has a centre hole in the space element of the upper lid. The pin intrudes into the centre hole of the upper lid when the upper and lower lids are connected. One of the lids, either upper, or lower, has a pair of grooves directed circumferentially and substantially diametrically opposite each other; each of the grooves has an inlet. The other lid, either lower, or upper, has a pair of tongues, each of which projects so as to be able to engage with the respective groove. When the upper and lower lids are in a close proximity and opposite each other, the tongues are found engaged with the grooves to enable a controlled rotation of the upper and lower lids in relation to each other from a first position into a second position in accordance with the connection. A method for transportation of the lens applicable for eye implantation consists in using the above fixation device, placing the lens into the storage box and connecting the parts together. A container enclosing the above device also having a handle on one of the lids, either upper, or lower, comprises a flexible insert with a cavity bearing the handle, and a bottle, wherein the insert is placed so that the fixation device hangs down from the insert inside the bottle.
EFFECT: inventions enable minimising lens transportation from one medium to the other.
