FIELD: atomic physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, particularly to handling liquid radioactive wastes, and can be used in treating still residues of evaporators of apparatus for treating drain water at nuclear power stations. The ultraviolet reactor is in the form of a cylinder in which there is a hollow ultraviolet lamp surrounded by a cavity for wastes. The inner cavity of the UV lamp is linked downstream with the upper part of the container through a dryer by a gas pump and with the lower part of the container through a nozzle. The cavity for wastes is linked downstream with the lower part of the container by a liquid pump and with the upper part of the container through a sprayer, mounted over the surface of the liquid wastes. An air injecting device is installed on the line linking the lower part of the container with the cavity for wastes.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of the reactor.
