FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: object of the invention is increased output power of the fuel cell and efficiency in electric power generation by draining water from the fuel cell at its actuation below freezing point. In the fuel-cell based system for electric power generation output power of the fuel cell is measured by delivery of fuel gas and oxidizing gas when temperature of the fuel cell upon its actuation is below its freezing point exceeds 0 degrees and if output power level is less than or equal to the preset power level, then pressure pulsation is applied at cathode in order to drain water accumulated in the fuel cell.

EFFECT: increased output power of the fuel cell and efficiency of electric power generation.
