SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to prevent the fuel cell from drying out during long-term work with high load. Fuel cell system comprises at least one fuel cell, a resistance meter configured to measure the resistance of the fuel cell, and a current limiter configured to limit the output current of the fuel cell using the restriction level. The current limiter changes the restriction level based on the measured resistance value. The offered system allows the current limitation to be applied before the fuel cell membrane drains, as the result the increase in the heat of the fuel cell during long-term operation with a high load is prevented.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of single element in the fuel cell system.
