SUBSTANCE: method of production of liquefied methane with high purity, including pre-cooling of the liquid hydrocarbons released during gas compression, its separation to process flow, that is cooled, reduced and heated by product and process flows, and product flow, that is cooled, reduced and separated with production of liquefied methane and separation gas. The natural gas is preliminary subjected to soft steam catalytic reforming together with water condensate and demineralised water with reformate production. The reformate is mixed with heated process flow and compressed by the compressor equipped with internal combustion engine as drive, to produced liquid hydrocarbons released during gas compression, its pre-cooling is performed by additional coolant to temperature not below temperature of hydrating. Prior to the liquid hydrocarbons released during gas compression separation to the process and product flows it is dehydrated and cleaned from carbon dioxide with production of the methane with high purity, water condensate and off-gas containing CO2, at that the separation gas is heated by product and process flows, mixed with off-gas containing CO2, and used as fuel for compressor driving.
EFFECT: increased yield of liquid methane with high purity.
