FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing desalinated water includes heating said water in an evaporator to form steam, condensing the steam, discharging the concentrated solution, compressing the steam to a pressure higher than evaporation pressure using a compressor, using the energy of the steam to evaporate water; purifying the steam by centrifuging; the compressor is turned by a turbine which is turned by steam obtained in a steam generator boiler from the purified water; uncondensed steam is compressed by the compressor and fed into an injector which ejects steam from the evaporator; the overall stream of steam from the injector is fed into a gas-liquid centrifuge; heating and evaporation of the water in the evaporator is carried out not only with steam compressed in the compressor, but with spent steam from the turbine as well. The apparatus for producing desalinated water includes an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, a gas-liquid centrifuge, a steam generator boiler; the compressor is directly connected to a steam turbine and is connected in a steam loop which connects the gas-liquid centrifuge and heating elements of the evaporator, and also in a steam loop which connects a condensate collector, the evaporator and gas-liquid centrifuge; the steam turbine is connected to the steam generator boiler, heating elements of the evaporator; the steam injector is connected by steam pipes to the evaporator, the condensate collector and the gas-liquid centrifuge.

EFFECT: high quality of the desalinated water, faster evaporation and low power consumption.
