SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electric device for preparation of beverages based on hot water that contains: the main reservoir (communicating with the ambient air), a water heater having a boiling chamber supply of water whereto is performed by gravity from the main reservoir, a hot water dispensing head connected to the boiling chamber so that hot water is delivered into the said head from the said boiling chamber. The said electric household device additionally contains an intermediate reservoir for reserve storage of water placed between the main reservoir and the boiling chamber so that water is delivered by gravity into the intermediate reservoir from the main one through the juncture while from the intermediate reservoir water is delivered by gravity into the boiling chamber; the intermediate reservoir for reserve storage of water immediately communicates with the ambient environment by means of a ventilation tube independent of the man reservoir. Due to the electric household device design peculiarities, warm water is separated from hot water based on their velocity of flow from the water heater. Warm water velocity of flow is insufficient for reaching the dispensing head.
