FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: tool contains container with work bushing, matrix holder with through diametrical slot, composite matrix created by two inserts opposite located in the bushing with guide surfaces inclined to the axis of pressing, and two segments installed at end of the matrix holder, and channel closing plug. Manufacturing of wide range of profiles with variable dimensions, and with edge lines without stop, per single cycle of pressing is ensured in that the container has cylindrical bushing, inserts have additional guide surfaces parallel to the pressing axis, segments are made in form of assembled three-link structure with central link in form of truncated wedge with angle "α", interfaced and interacting with two side segments in stalled on parallel guide surfaces of the inserts, on chord of the wedge segment the profile of the forming matrix spot and support surfaces are made for interaction with the inclined surfaces of the inserts. For the descending surfaces of the angle of wedge "α" is made exceeding the double friction angle "φ" (α>2φ), and for ascending - below double friction angle "φ" (α<2φ). The inclined surface of the inserts can be made with variable width.
EFFECT: fatigue life of equipment, and increased quality of the produced products.
