HYDROACOUSTIC IMAGER Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC B63C11/48 G01S15/00

Abstract RU 2568338 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: claimed imager comprises encased and sealed antenna unit including transceiving multielement arrays composed of mutually perpendicular strips arranged in one plane perpendicular to sealed case lengthwise axis. Besides, it comprises radiated signal generator and multidrop delay line connected to its output. Output of multichannel amplifier is connected with transmitting multielement array. Received signal processing unit comprises receiving amplifier, ADC, directional response generator and correlation function computing unit, all being connected in series with receiving array output. Second input of said correlation function computing unit is connected to radiated signal generator. Besides, this imager comprises acoustic image graphical imaging unit also fitted in aforesaid sealed case. Said graphical imaging unit incorporates video controller connected via cable line with receive signal processing unit output, graphical display connected with video controller output and control unit connected to video controller input. Acoustic imager incorporates the unit of switches connected in between multidrop delay line and multichannel amplifier. Generator of linearly increasing delay times is connected in between radiated signal generator and unit of switches. Note here that control input of the latter is connected via cable communication line with control unit of graphical data display. Invention allows increasing the rate of space surveillance in search mode (2D mode) owing to irradiation of the entire surveillance space in one probing signal sending. In case it is necessary to identify underwater object, 3D mode is activated to enhance identification performances.

EFFECT: higher rate of space surveillance by one probing signal send.
