FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prepare for sowing the seeds of small-seeded crops such as carrots. The unit for pre-sowing treatment of seed material comprises a working body, a drive mechanism, a hopper-dispenser, an unloading chute, a grinding drum with an unloading window. The inner surface of the grinding drum is coated with a rubber layer. The working body is made of non-interconnected rods-rollers, each of which is designed as a multiple-thread helical surface and is made from at least three strips of rectangular shape of the same width throughout the length of the strips coiled in a vertical plane in the longitudinal direction relative to its own axis of symmetry of the strip and bent along the helical line in the transverse direction on the cylindrical mandrel. Each of the rods-rollers is coated with a layer of rubber and is provided on both sides with pins that have the ability to roll on feelers mounted inside the grinding drum. The diameter of the pins is greater than the maximum diameter of the rods-rollers, which provides a constant gap between the rods-rollers and the walls of the grinding drum. The size of the gap is greater than the maximum size of the seeds.
EFFECT: invention enables to ensure expansion of technological capabilities, simplifying the design, and improvement of performance.
