FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: metal fixing nails for metal fixation are placed onto pedicle screw heads and fixed with nuts. The metal fixing nails for metal fixation are presented by nails shaped after an anatomically correct non-deformed spinal column and made of a thermomechanical shape-memory material based on intermetallic titanium nickelide having a bending resistance within the range of 25-85 N/mm and an elastic modulus of 15-20 GPa; they are pre-cooled to a temperature below that of reverse phase martensitic transformations of intermetallic titanium nickelide and curved after the patient's degenerative spinal column; the nail for metal fixation made of thermomechanical shape-memory material shapes the patient's spinal column anatomically correctly as heated by patient's body warmth.
EFFECT: method enables preserving a spinal mobility and recovering a spinal canal configuration.
