FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: spinous processes, facet joints and vertebral arches are skeletonised up to the base of spines of vertebra. A spinal canal is inspected and decompressed from an extended interlaminar approach with the yellow ligament excised. A disk is approached by displacing a dural sac and root, which is followed by dissecting the disk and removing it with using scoops, discotomy and laminotomy instruments. Transpedicular screws are inserted. Metal fixing nails are settled on heads of the inserted transpedicular screws and fastened with nuts. The metal fixing nails for metal fixation are presented by the nails configured in accordance with the anatomically correct shape of an undeformed spinal column; the nails are made of a thermal shape-memory intermetallic titanium nickelde material with a bending strength falling within the range of 25-85 N/mm and a modulus of elasticity if 15-20 GPa, pre-cooled to a temperature below a point of reverse phase martensitic transformations of intermetallic titanium nickelde and bent as the patient's degenerative spinal column; the metal fixing nail made of the thermal shape-memory material puts the patient's degenerative spinal column into the anatomically correct shape as heated by the patient's body.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to restore the spinal canal configuration, preserve spinal mobility, and provide the early patient's rehabilitation.
