FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device for bone fragment impregnation in traumatic spinal stenosis comprises a bone fragment removal and fixation element integrated into a tubular body. The bone fragment removal and fixation element is presented in the form of a rod. A proximal end of the rod is curved with a radius equal to that of a spinal canal; it bears a spatula placed at a right angle to the rod and having holes all over its surface for an injection needle for introducing an adhesive composition. A distal portion of the rod is threaded and has a four-sided end; the latter is applicable to place a non-metallic handle. An outer thread of a proximal portion of the tubular body comprises a mount point designed to attach a transpedicular structure onto the rod. The distal portion of the body bears a device control assembly. The mount point designed to attach a transpedicular structure onto the rod consists of a U-brace with its proximal cheek cleft and thickened at the cleft ends. A distal cheek has a greater width; it has a screw hole coaxial with the cleft for a threaded sleeve having a thread on a proximal portion of an outer surface. An inner surface of the threaded sleeve has a thread identical to that of the proximal end of the tubular body. The control assembly comprises lower and upper stopper jaws joined together by a screw with an in-between control wheel rotating about the thread of the distal portion of the rod. The lower stopper jaw is attached to the distal end of the body by means of radial pins. A locking screw is inserted in the middle portion of the tubular body between the mount point designed to attach a transpedicular structure onto the rod and control assembly, in the radial threaded hole; an end of the threaded rod of the locking screw is pointed to be inserted into long slots created in the middle portion of the rod.
EFFECT: invention enables injury-free repositioning and reclination of bone fragments affecting anterior spinal cord.
