FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. Implant for stabilizing a spinal column includes a pedicle screw, an elongated member, and a two-portion retainer. Elongated member is poly-axially movably connected to the pedicle screw. Elongated member is made with possibility of full turn around its longitudinal axis and has external threads over a longitudinal periphery thereof. Two-portion retainer has a whole upper retainer portion and a whole lower retainer portion, separated from the upper retainer portion. Upper and lower retainer portions have each inner pass-through along respective longitudinal axis and around it. Completely through each passage elongated member is inserted. Upper and lower retainer portions, can each have a concave opening therethrough to receive a rod to fix one implant to another. Upper retainer portion is internally threaded to engage the external threads of the elongated member. Upper retainer portion threadably translates longitudinally along the elongated member by rotation of the elongated member about a longitudinal axis thereof. Upper retainer portion threadably translates longitudinally along the elongated member toward the lower retainer portion to secure and retain a rod between the upper retainer portion and the lower retainer portion, thereby providing a fixing of one implant to another. Implant for stabilizing a spinal column comprises a pedicle screw, an elongated member and a two-portion retainer. Elongated member is poly-axially movably connected to the pedicle screw. Elongated member is made with possibility of full turn around its longitudinal axis and has external threads over at least a part of longitudinal periphery thereof and contains a swivel ball fixedly connected at a distal end thereof. Swivel ball resides within a concave recess of a head of the pedicle screw, thereby providing a polyaxially movable connection between the elongated member and the pedicle screw. Two-portion retainer has a whole upper retainer portion and a whole lower retainer portion, separated from the upper retainer portion. Upper and lower retainer portions have each concave opening therethrough to receive a rod to receive a rod to fix one implant to another. Upper retainer portion is internally threaded to engage the external threads of the elongated member. Upper retainer portion threadably translates longitudinally along the elongated member toward the lower retainer portion by rotation of the elongated member about a longitudinal axis thereof. Upper retainer portion threadably translates toward the lower retainer portion to secure and retain a rod between the upper retainer portion and the lower retainer portion, thereby providing a fixing of one implant to another. Set of implants for stabilizing a spinal column includes at least one said implant, driver tool for insertion and tightening of at least one said implant to the end of the specified torque and a polymer tray for packing and sterilization of said at least one implant and driver tool.
EFFECT: invention ensures minimization of complexity of operation and reduction of time.
