SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making cables for broadband access subscriber networks, Internet telephony, when using cables on urban, corporate, rural and similar communication networks, including with the use of digital subscriber line transmission systems (xDSL). The communication cable comprises at least one helical, twisted pair of electric conductors insulated from each other by an internal insulator, while enabling transmission of a signal thereon, and coated by an external insulator, wherein the internal and external insulators are made of a high-frequency polymer dielectric material selected from polyolefins, and the helix is enclosed in an intermediate sheath while maintaining an air space between the insulated electric conductors and the intermediate sheath, which is made of a polymer having a melting point higher than that of the external insulator.
EFFECT: easier cable termination during wiring and enabling cold termination without the need for heating.
