FIELD: cable industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the cable industry and can be used in the construction of communication cables and electronic equipment, and also in the manufacture of cables for subscriber broadband access networks, traditional telephone networks, Internet telephony, etc. Overhead communication cable contains a sheath, inside of which a core is located containing 1÷100 pairs of copper conductors with a diameter of 0.40÷1.20 mm, enclosed in isolation, and the power element, made mainly in the form of at least one steel wire located parallel to the core or cable made of steel wire with a diameter of 0.2÷1.5 mm, and/or from natural or synthetic yarns, the shell, inside of which the power element is located, is applied with compression, the cable is made of a single spiral twist, or double cable strand, or triple cable strand, while the tensile force of the cable to break more than the weight of one kilometer cable.
EFFECT: invention provides long-term reliable operation of the suspension cable in all weather conditions.
