FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for prediction of a perinatal central nervous system (CNS) injury in premature newborns including analysing a biological material, differing by measuring glutamate and agmatine in 10% placental homogenate taken immediately after a premature delivery, by capillary electrophoresis; a glutamate/agmatine ratio is calculated, and if the ratio is 1.70 or less, the perinatal CNS injury is predicted in the premature newborns.
EFFECT: implementing the invention enables increasing the accuracy of the prediction of a perinatal CNS injury in premature newborns.
