FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in obstetrics, perinatology and neonatology to predict the severity of cerebral ischemia in premature infants with low and very low birth weight. Clinical and laboratory parameters are determined: term of delivery, method of delivery and concentration in the plasma of the newborn's umbilical cord blood immediately after birth, matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), which are included in the original calculation formulas. Determine F0 and F1 - the severity of cerebral ischemia. If F0>F1, mild / moderate severity of cerebral ischemia is predicted, if F0<F1, severe cerebral ischemia in premature infants is predicted.
EFFECT: method allows improving perinatal outcomes in premature infants with low and very low body weight by optimizing treatment and diagnostic tactics based on predicting the severity of cerebral ischemia.
