SUBSTANCE: method comprises reception and spectral analysis of signals from a sensitive element, detecting signals received from different radio pulsars, identification thereof on an electronic map of the starry sky in a computing device and calculating the latitude and longitude of the observation point. The space navigation system comprises a sensitive element, a computing device, a memory unit with an electronic map (database) of pulsars, data cables and a latitude and longitude indicator, a sensitive element tilt sensor, wherein the sensitive element is in the form of a superweak radiation sensor having an omnipattern.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities.
