FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: shaft (1) with ball-and-socket joint (18) contains the first and the second sections (2, 3) of the shaft (1) and secured support eye lugs (4), each by screw joints (8) to securing area (7) of the first and the second sections (2, 3) of the shaft (1), each eye lug by one end protrudes beyond the appropriate agreed first and second sections (2, 3) of the shaft (1), and in this protruding area (4a) hold between the single-piece cross (6) of hinge joint (18) that by one trunnion (5) rests against in hole of the appropriate support eye lug (4). Each support eye lug (4) at least in some areas with geometrical closure by the force transmission enters in each case in one of two grooves, made diametrically opposite in area (7) of securing in the circumferential surface of the first and the second sections (2, 3) of the shaft (1), and each made in form of open keyslot. Area of each supporting eye lug (4) not protruding beyond the appropriate agreed first or second section (2, 3) of the shaft (1) has prismatic key made as response to the appropriate agreed groove or keyslot, or is made of form of the prismatic key made as response to the appropriate agreed groove of keyslot. The side limiting walls of each groove (12) pr keyslot are made slightly cuneiform converging towards each other starting from the appropriate end face of the sections (2, 3) of the shaft (1), in axial direction of the groove in the opposite rear wall.

EFFECT: solution ensuring implementation of the ball-and-socket joint having compact design, and, nevertheless, ensuring transmission of large torques.
