Sealing system with support sleeve (9) for headset (5) of the crosspiece with the pivot points of the universal joint has protective ring (19). Protective ring (19) has annular section (36) of the sleeve, annular seating section (37) and at least one protrusion (39, 40). Section (36) of the sleeve is concentric with respect to longitudinal axis (7). Plot (37) is located at the rear axial end of section (36) of the sleeve, passes radially inward. Protrusion (39, 40), which is located in the front axial end zone of section (36) of the sleeve, projects radially inward. Protective ring (19) further has several bridges (42) distributed along the periphery, which axially protrude from seating section (37) and which are located inside section (36) of the sleeve.

EFFECT: improved lubrication is achieved.
