FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fabrication of microstructured webs. Proposed method comprises the following jobs. Initial web is made. A pair of matching forming structure is made to include the first and second forming structures. Note here that at least the first forming structure comprises the cavities while the second one comprises the ledges. The web is transferred through deforming zone of matched forming structures. Note here that the first forming structure cavities are engaged with the second forming structure ledges. Note here that their engagement brings about the discrete 3D elements in claimed web. Centre-to-centre distance between at least one ledge to at least one cavity makes approx less than 800 mcm.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of the process.
