FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for identification of behind-casing flow from formations covered by tubing strings. Thermally insulated tubing strings with temperature sensors fixed outside are run in to the area of assumed behind-the-casing flow. Simultaneous temperature recording in the well borehole is made within the surveyed interval. Upon removal of thermally insulated tubing strings analysis of the sensors readouts is made for the surveyed interval within period of time at least equal to where Rk is radius of the sting, a is temperature conductivity between tubing strings and casing upon commencement of the well operation. Interval of the behind-the-casing flow is judged against temperature anomalies.
EFFECT: usage of the method allows authenticity for determination of behind-the-casing flow in well covered by thermally insulated tubing strings.
