SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the brush seal for use in the rotary machine. The brush seal contains segments, each of them contains arc-like protective element, arc-like support plate, its circumferential length, essentially, is equal to the circumferential length of the arc-like protective element, and has first end and second end, and multiple bristles located between the arc-like support plate, and arc-like protective element at angle to the radial axis of the arc-like support plate, and at least one of the first end and second end of the arc-like support plate, and fixed element, to which at least one of the said segments of the brush seal is secured.
EFFECT: invention improves brush seal reliability.
