FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dust separation and may be used in whatever industry, particularly, in food industry. Proposed method consists in cooling and oversaturation of cleaned flow by steam at forcing it through humidifier and different-temperature condensation chamber with gas stage, primarily, of rectangular cross-section. Gas stage walls temperature over the entire length is kept equal. Temperature difference between adjacent walls of said gas stage makes 50-70°C. Note here that turbulent mixing of gas flows is performed from periphery to centre by creation of intensive free-convective gas motion. Said motion allows swirling the flow to be cleaned in motion along the gas stage. Thereafter, water vapours are condensed at condensation nuclei and grown to sizes of drops with further separation from airflow of solid and condensed phases.
EFFECT: efficient separation of condensate and mechanical impurities from gas.
