SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of disinfection, namely to biological decontamination and is intended for the decontamination of surfaces, contaminated by biological species. A gel for biological decontamination consists of a colloid solution, containing from 5 to 30 wt %, basing on the gel weight, at least, one inorganic viscosity enhancer; from 0.5 to 10 mol/l of a gel of at least one active preparation for biological decontamination; from 0.05 to 5 wt %, basing on the gel weight, at least one superabsorbing polymer; from 0.1 to 2 wt %, basing on the gel weight, of, at least, one surfactant; and the remaining part of a solvent. The method of biological decontamination with the application of the said gel is also provided.

EFFECT: effective decontamination of porous surfaces that does not cause any chemical, mechanical or physical changes in the processed surfaces, is provided.
