FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a gel for biological decontamination, which can be used for disinfecting surfaces. Gel for biological decontamination consists of: a colloidal solution consisting of 5–30 wt.% based on the weight of the gel, at least one inorganic thickener; an active agent for biological decontamination consisting of a combination of a mineral base selected from alkali metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, and mixtures thereof, and a stable oxidizing agent in a basic medium selected from permanganates, persulfates , ozone, hypochlorite, and mixtures thereof; wherein the inorganic base being present in an amount of 0.05 to 10 mol/L of gel, and stable oxidizing agent in a basic medium being present in an amount of 0.05 to 5 mol/L of gel; and the solvent to the total mass, where the gel containing no superabsorbent polymer.
EFFECT: oxidizing alkaline biodecontamination gel and surface biodecontamination method using said gel are proposed.
