FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly of rolling mill laydown head guide end ring. Guide end ring features ID, radially and axially confining hot-rolled long material and defining its proximal and distal sides. It comprises round thrust ring and replaceable wearing element fitted inside the round thrust ring ID. Said replaceable wearing element has curved inner surface that makes at least the section of end ring guide surface. Its outer surface features profile diameter complying with the round thrust ring ID. Besides, it has engagement surface to engage with fastener connected with the guide end ring.

EFFECT: decreased idle time at recovery of end ring worn-out surface.
