FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: during oil refining, fractions, 95% of which boil in the range of 180-220°C and 220-360°C, are separated; these fractions are mixed in a balance ratio to obtain a 180-360°C fraction; a 360-500°C vacuum gas oil fraction and gar - a fraction which boils above 500°C - are also separated, wherein the method comprises catalytic cracking of 360-500°C vacuum gas oil fraction, which is subjected to preliminary catalytic hydrofining, slow coking of tar -the fraction which boils above 500°C, with separation from the reaction products of said secondary processes of 180-360°C light gas oil fractions and subsequent blending of the straight-run 180-360°C diesel fraction, slow coking and catalytic cracking 180-360°C light gas oils, taken in the following weight ratio: straight-run diesel fraction - 30-50, slow coking light gas oil - 10-50, catalytic cracking light gas oil - 20-60, and adding to the obtained fuel as a pour-point depressant an ethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer with content of active vinyl acetate units in concentration of 20-40 wt % and a melt flow limit of 0.07-19.2 in amount of 0.10-0.50 wt %.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain low-viscosity marine fuel for high-speed and medium-speed marine diesels with improved low-temperature properties.
