SUBSTANCE: varistor material comprises ZnO forming ZnO phase, Bi2O3 forming liquid phase that influences grain growth in sintering process as well as spinel phase including mixture of Mn, Co, Ni and Cr; it may also contain additionally 0.05 mol % SiO2, at that quantity of pyrochlore phase included into the varistor material ensures ratio of pyrochlore phase to spinel phase is equal to 0.15:1.

EFFECT: increased intensity of the switching field and reduced losses of the varistor power.
