FIELD: testing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing of mechanical systems in which the main parts are rotating bodies, the resistance to motion of which is determined by slowing down when runout, and can be used to determine the negative acceleration of the rotating parts. The rotating part is provided with a speed sensor with one mark, which eliminates inaccuracy of the corner markings, which would appear in case of a large number of marks. The speed sensor reacting to a single mark is connected to a recording device and a computer. The dependence of the rotational speed is recorded, for example, in discrete form, and at a known radius of the rotating part - the path as a function of time at a specified period of time interval, this dependence is approximated with the determined, continuous and differentiated function, the second derivative of which in time provides the dependence of slowing down of the body in the function of time.

EFFECT: invention provides improved accuracy and efficiency of determining slowing down of rotating bodies.
