FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: driving unit for an instrument of an endoscopic surgical apparatus comprises a body and a system of drive shafts connected to pin joints. Operating mechanisms of an end effector are configured in the form of four independent helical gearboxes, each of which is connected to the drive shaft. The drive shafts are arranged coaxially, have different diameter and length, and transmit a rotation torque to respective pin joints. One helical gearbox comprises a driven wheel with a press-fitted threaded bushing to transform the rotation torque into reciprocation of the drive shaft along a guide which is formed in an insert between the driven wheels of helical pairs. A driving unit control mechanism can be coupled with a control portion of an assistant robot-aided surgical complex.
