SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of expertise of industrial safety of hazardous production objects. The method consists in the fact that quantitative assessment of pipeline degradation process from alternating loads is carried out, which is quantitatively expressed in fatigue damage of the pipeline as operation time function, which characterises the process of accumulation of fatigue damages in the pipeline. They detect damage of the pipeline, which characterises the process of pipeline degradation from corrosion and corrosion cracking under stress and damage of pipeline from operating defects, in particular, cracks, sores, corrugations, indents, burrs or scratches.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of pipeline service life detection.
