FIELD: nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nanotechnology, and may be used to obtain the memory elements, nanoelectric wires, electric and magnetic materials. In the reactor, the volume thermal plasma is created, and carbonaceous material - carbon black or graphite - is added to it, as well as a catalyst or several catalysts selected from the group comprising the compounds of Ni, Co, Fe, Y. The working gas is used as one of helium, argon, nitrogen, or their mixture. The compounds of Ni, Co, Fe, Y are used in the following atomic ratios: 4:1=Ni:Y; Co:Y and 1:1=Ni:Co; Fe:Y. The mixture of the carbonaceous material with the catalyst is fed into the reaction zone of the arc with the working gas swirling flow after the arc stabilisation.

EFFECT: invention enables to simplify the arc method of production of nanotubes, to reduce the energy intensity of the process, and to improve its performance.
