SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel cells, lithium-ion batteries, supercondensers, electro-sorption installations of treatment facilities. Hydrocarbon from series (CnH2n+n), for example, methane used as a carbon source, is fed into thermal plasma pre-mixed with nitrogen in weight ratio of 1:10 to 1:5 and treated in thermal plasma generated in plasmatron, at low pressure of 300–700 torr. Obtained vapor-gas mixture at the plasmatron output is abruptly cooled down to 300–600 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables production of graphene plates doped with nitrogen and containing 80–92 at% of carbon without using substrates and complex equipment.
