The latter receives data on the mode by processing of function including the numerical literal addition to or subtraction from said data on the mode. This numerical literal relates to method of in-frame prediction corresponding to adjacent areas including reshaped signals of pixels and adjacent to target area. Besides, it defines the prediction process for generation of in-frame prediction signal on the basis of received data on the mode. It incorporates the means for generation of in-frame prediction signal on the basis prediction mode. Image encoding means encodes the difference signal of target are pixels on the basis of in-frame prediction signal.

EFFECT: reduced data on the data on prediction mode for in-frame prediction signal generation in terms of pixels.
