SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an image heating device to heat a toner image on a sheet. The proposed device (9) of image heating comprises a heating element (101) for heating of a toner image on a sheet (P), a tape unit (110), including a continuous tape (105), for heating of the outer surface of the specified rotary heating element, and the first and second rollers (103, 104) to support with capability of rotation of the inner surface of the specified continuous tape (105) so that the specified continuous tape (105) contacts with the specified rotary heating element (101), and a retaining mechanism (240) to hold the specified tape unit, at the same time the specified retaining mechanism (240) allows for deviation of the specified tape unit (110) in such direction that axial directions of the specified first and second rollers (103, 104) cross with direction of the generatrix of the specified rotary heating element (101).

EFFECT: improved stability of continuous tape movement for heating of a rotary heating element externally.
