FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: hydrodynamic starter-generator drive comprises an electric power generator for the vehicle, a centrifugal fuel pump mounted at its shaft and two hydrodynamic torque converters with circulation. Impeller of one of the converters is coupled kinematically to the shaft of the vehicle power plant and its turbine wheel is coupled kinematically to the shaft of the generator armature and impeller of the centrifugal fuel pump, which input is coupled to the vehicle fuel system while output is coupled to circulation loop of the hydrodynamic torque converter. Impeller of the other hydrodynamic torque converter is coupled kinematically to the shaft of the generator armature while its turbine wheel is coupled kinematically to the shaft of power plant. The generator is also equipped with electrical device for conversion of generator mode to motor mode and via electric contactor it is coupled to self-sustained power generator of auxiliary power plant for the vehicle.
EFFECT: reduced weight, increased carrying capacity and economical efficiency of the vehicle.
